Remember
This guy let me sleep until 10:00 this morning, it was delicious.  Then he took me to our neighborhood diner for breakfast.

Here is Big Guy at the cemetary.
I found the last (3) wire hangers so he could make some doo-hickeys to keep the flowers upright.
This is Boyd's Grandpa and Grandma Ashworth
This is Big Guy's brother Paul, he's been gone for 20 years.
Big Guy didn't even know about Paul until he was 12 years old.
I only met Paul a couple of times.
You can't see, this is Big Guy's nephew Shawn.  He died just before
his 2nd birthday.  Boyd was young but remembers what a
terrible time his brother and sister-in-law had in picking up the
pieces of a life without their baby.  We have put flowers on Shawns
grave for the entire 31 years we've been married, along with his
grandparents.  We went down to a different cemetary to put flowers
on his other grandparents graves.  His Mom and Dad had a special
arrangement(s) that all the kids went in on.
Later we decided we needed a really good donut.
So we headed to "Beyond Glaze"
We purchased (6) donuts...................for $10 bucks.
I'm not sure they were worth it.
The donuts were good, light and yummy.  The thing I didn't like was that they
were all glazed and then they went "beyond glaze" and put lots
of super sweet toppings.  We tried a maple, and cookies and cream, a
german chocolate, a chocolate strawberry, and mango and a mint chocolate.
My favorite was the mango...........pretty sure we won't go back. At $1.85 per donut they need to be better than these.  We still have several donut shops
we have to try................the search is on for the perfect donut.  Stay tuned.

There's no place like Home.....
“When your mother asks, "Do you want a piece of advice?" it's a mere formality. It doesn't matter if you answer yes or no. You're going to get it anyway.”
Erma Bombeck

Motherhood is full of ..........
oppositions....
You're the She-ro one minute
and the nag the next.

Kids love to come home....where it's safe
then they love to leave,
where they can be brave.

I love being a mother, I always felt that my Mom loves
being a mother too.
It's a hard job, no training, and it takes 20
years to be appreciated.  You always feel
like you could have done more, or
done something better.
The only do-over you get are grand kids (yeah)
So you buck up and live with what you've done....
C'est la vie....
Que sera sera....

Thanks to my mom and all the moms
and soon-to-be moms and those
who want to be moms.

The Face

Getting Ice Cream
At the Zoo with the other smiles

Little Miss Vivvers..............I miss this face........

Polish: "ser"
Italian: "formaggio"
Greek: "τυρί"
German: "Käse"

TRIP TO OKC.....continued
(I went to watch the Taylor Tots while Mom and Dad vacated in Chicago.)

Viv and Milo found a mud puddle......on a day the temperature was about
40 degrees...............
no brain......................no pain.................
Oh, wait............pain..................
hurt...................help

When the parents were gone, it was up to the Mims
to get them to soccer.....
It was like "flashback"
Viv is almost 4.  She has a pair of yellow stretchy shorts (above)
that are size 24month......she loves to wear them to play
soccer..........it's like 10 pounds of sausage in a 5 pound casing.
but so much cuter on her "tasty cakes"
She compensates by wearing a huge jersey!
After soccer and a trip to the mall to see The Croods,
(that's the 2nd time for me)
We went to Braums....the local Ice Cream Joint.
