Remember
This guy let me sleep until 10:00 this morning, it was delicious. Then he took me to our neighborhood diner for breakfast.
Here is Big Guy at the cemetary.
I found the last (3) wire hangers so he could make some doo-hickeys to keep the flowers upright.
This is Boyd's Grandpa and Grandma Ashworth
This is Big Guy's brother Paul, he's been gone for 20 years.
Big Guy didn't even know about Paul until he was 12 years old.
I only met Paul a couple of times.
You can't see, this is Big Guy's nephew Shawn. He died just before
his 2nd birthday. Boyd was young but remembers what a
terrible time his brother and sister-in-law had in picking up the
pieces of a life without their baby. We have put flowers on Shawns
grave for the entire 31 years we've been married, along with his
grandparents. We went down to a different cemetary to put flowers
on his other grandparents graves. His Mom and Dad had a special
arrangement(s) that all the kids went in on.
Later we decided we needed a really good donut.
So we headed to "Beyond Glaze"
We purchased (6) donuts...................for $10 bucks.
I'm not sure they were worth it.
The donuts were good, light and yummy. The thing I didn't like was that they
were all glazed and then they went "beyond glaze" and put lots
of super sweet toppings. We tried a maple, and cookies and cream, a
german chocolate, a chocolate strawberry, and mango and a mint chocolate.
My favorite was the mango...........pretty sure we won't go back. At $1.85 per donut they need to be better than these. We still have several donut shops
we have to try................the search is on for the perfect donut. Stay tuned.
