36 and 6.....

These (2) handsome boys share a birthday.

I cannot belive that I have a 36 year old child.

For the past few years, his birthday has been more

painful than my own. 

 

I walked into my Boot Camp class this morning

and said. "My son is 36 years old today" and they

asked: "How old are you?"  I replied.....old enough

to have a 36 year old child!!

 

In the words of Bob Paxman..."Enough said."

It's coming.....

I looked at the mountains on my drive home,

there was a light dusting of snow.

I pulled over and too this picture and realized that

I would be injoying the

last days of warm sunny weather

 and there are things that need

to be done before the real snow sets in.

I know that I'm tired of the heat we've experienced, but

am I ready for what's to come....

 

This is my Jasmine..........

it nearly perished from the heat

when I was on vacation.

My instructions for watering were not

made clear, and she suffered......

I'm hoping she will

recover and bless me with

those wonderful flowers that

smell so sweet.

 My Gardenia......she nearly went the way

of her many predessors..this past winter

I had her up high where the hot air

rises and was in line with a ceiling fan.

This was necessary because of a

certain feline that was in the house.

(said feline peed on my previous Gardenia

and killed it, there's nothing like

cat piss to kill anything living-

and to strip paint.......no kidding)

She was in a perfect place all summer,

 where it was wet and shady, and she revived nicely.

I'm hoping to take better care of her

this winter.

This is my Tangerine tree, she is

still on the deck, I'm making room

for her..........

Little Miss 2 Year Old

It was The Soph-a-licious' two year old birthday celebration. .....a circus theme with popcorn hot dogs (for the kids brats for the grown ups)  She has enough Dora stuff to last 3 lifetimes.  I really want to have a hair bow like she has on...darling.

Sitting at the Verizon store waiting for Harm...looked up....a beautiful rainbow....I'm taking as a sign of good luck.

30 days...

Welcome September!!

The weather is cooling off.

I replaced the heating element that went out in July......who cares if your oven works in July!  It's actually a blessing..no heating up the house to bake.

I made a batch of 30-day bran muffins.   They are my all time favorite muffins.  The last in your fridge for up to 30 days....but not in mine....I will be eating these babies every morning until they're gone.

BOOT CAMP.....BOO-YA

So.....since I'm the fattest I've ever been

I signed up for the O.ZONE boot camp.

(6) weeks of training.....

There's lots of different ways to

torture train the body.

 high knees

jumping jacks

kick butts

resistance bands....

Kettle Bells........used many ways....

Free weights..........curls

lifts......blah blah blah

The exercise Ball......used in ways

I would never have guessed.

This will teach you balance in a very

painful way.

There pull-ups

Sprinting

Crunches

Squats

Lunges......

And then there's BURPEE's..................

They're awful, painful, ridiculously tiring,

and they are DAILY

I just think to myself as I'm

doing them......

"Oh Dear........make them go away"
OR..
If I ever meet the Svengali who
created Burpees....I'll bitch slap them
then call them some names
(words my Mom would slap me for saying)

I groan, and shake, and sweat, and think

unkind thoughts about the trainer as

I do the dreaded Burpees.

Burpees are of the Devil.

But......

it they help me get rid of

my obscenely large A$$

Who cares.....bring on the BURPEES.

Season finale

While I was in So. Utah Mom and I went for a pedicure...I had the French Tip.  I love how it looks clean....this is the last time for this season. ....from now on it will be reds.......maybe a pink or salmon. ...

What a great weekend. Mr. Mr. and I came down to see my mom and dad.

I am so blessed to have them in my life.

  My Mom has a huge job of taking care of my Dad...

.and what a awesome job she does.
