Swearing off........again......

Is there a restaurant that you have a love/hate relationship with? I do, and it's been a love-hate thing for years.  They have a hideous wait any time we go, and once you're seated, the wait continues......for the server to acknowledge that you are are in her zone, then wait for her to get your drink order.......and yet we "forget" and find ourselves there........... 

It's a good thing that our dinner companions are cute and well behaved (for the most part) and willing to wait without much complaint.

This little cutie is pretty attached to her daddy, she's great as long as

she has him in sight..............and he feeds her.

Waiting.......waiting........waiting.............

Still waiting...............................but it's

getting hard to keep smiling.

Ummmmm.......bender from heaven...........this is the reason I conveniently "forget" how bad service and long waits are worth it............ham, black olive and onion is the perfect combination......................excuse me......I'm drooling..............

Ummmm............yummy crust......lots of cheese...............

Ok, ok...............let's leave..................but it will be several months before I go back, because now I remember..............

Just a happy thought.....

Boys and Baking

I had the Lloyd Brothers over after Thanksgiving

for some Christmas Cookie

baking.  They were so excited

I was messing around with some picture editing.....mustache and hat

The cookies were pretty ugly....but they

tasted delicious.

After a hard afternoon in front of the oven, they wanted

to relax in the hot tub.  It was way too warm for a

hot-flash gal like myself, so I sat on the deck and watched.

This is some random pictures.  I ordered some bulbs back in October,

I immediately planted the daffodils and they grew and were gorgeous.

I put the amaryllis in the dark in the cubby, waiting to plant them.

They tried to grow in the dark!! They were all pale an

sickly looking...................I'm so sad.  I planted

them and had to prop them up,  I'm hoping they bloom.

I was out on the deck an hour ago

I found these (3) little daisies blooming.

How confused they must be.

If I've said it once I've said it .......maybe 113 times

I love having something in bloom

It's my "Happy Place"

Hi, my name is Patti and I love James Bond Movies.

Daniel Craig is the best James Bond......ever.

(sorry Sean Connery fans.....I was one of you.....once)

This man is AWESOME as 007......

This is the best Bond movie.

Everything you love about Bond is back....in spades.

I left work early today to go to lunch with Mr. Boyd and

then go to the movie.

We sat in the back row, where there is lots of leg room.

I loved being in the dark with a bunch of people

we didn't know. 

We had something in common....all of us are Lovers of 007.

Everyone there was just like me...on the edge of my seat,

cheering and laughing, and occasionally gasping.

And..........

The Adele Song.......perfect.

I'm pretty sure we will go back and see it

again.....some things are just better when it's a shared experience.

Movies are one of them.
It is 2 hours and 23 minutes of spectacular.

Let it Snow.........

It's the most wonderful time of the year.......................

What took ya' so long?

My armpits are singing: "Come To Mama!"

 

After a long hot summer, this is a welcome sight.

My biggest problem:

I left home this morning at 5:45 a.m.

it was raining lightly, I had on capri's and

flip flops.......I left work at 11:30

I was brushing snow off my car in above mentioned

flip flops.......toes were a bit chilled, but

I still drove with the passenger side

window open......and the heater going

full bore.....

 

I'm excited for the season.

Breakfast with Grandparents

Isaac's school mixed things up this year......

instead of going to have lunch with the kids

the grandparents were invited to have breakfast.

 

What they didn't change was the walk thru the Book Fair, prior to the lunchroom..................

Isaac had a book all picked out....BUG WARS.

I also purchased another book for him:

  Your Body,  Boogers and All
