Crab Cakes

We had lunch at a restaurant called "Local Ocean" I have been wanting some crab cakes.  These fit the bill,  they were served with fennel slaw.  I didn't think I would like the slaw because I don't like fennel....or so I thought.  The slaw was de-lish..so maybe I like fennel. .who knew.   The crab cakes we awesome.  Boyd had the fish and chips with the "catch of the day"  he said it was yummy.  It only reached 62 degrees today.   I wore a hoodie all day...I was actually cold at times.  August...and I'm cold..that's a first.  Lincoln City and Depoe Bay are the quintessential beachy towns...♥♥♥♥♥ them all.  I could stay a week here.

Cool & Foggy

Wow...it's cool enough to see your breath tjis morning.   It's only supposed to get to 63 degrees today. I'm glad I brought me a hoodie.

Drive with a view

We drove down highway 101....this is outside Ocean City...gorgeous....temps in the 60's.......ahhhhhhh.....I love an ocean view.  This trip is just what the Dr. Ordered.....or if there was a Dr. He would surely order it.

Say Cheese

We stopped at the cheese factory at Tillamook.  I had  5-scoop sample because the scoops we only the size of a golf ball.....they lied....the scoops were much bigger.  I made a gallent attempt, but I'm not a HUGE Ice cream lover...I'm huge and a lover...but you get it.  They had a fudge counter...with my favorite penoche....so we purchased a pound of fudge (4 different flavors) now we're off doen the coast to Lincoln City.

The Beautiful Portland Temple

It doesn't matter where you go the Temples are always breathtaking.  The one in Portland is no different.  Nestled among tall pines...it's spires are peeking thru.  We are having a great trip with our neighbors,  the Neffs.
