Vivvers
There is nothing like the big ole' sloppy kisses of a 2 year old.  This little darling is back home in the "flatland" where she lives with her parents, sister and brother. ( I informed her older sister Hannah,  this summer that she didn't have to live there.  That when she graduated from high school she could move. . . . . . in with me.  When they were here for Thanksgiving, I reminded Hannah, and she remembered what I told her.)  Anyway, back to the kisses of a 2 year old.  They are sweet and sometimes boogerie, and if you kiss long enough you can breathe in their essense, suck in their life-force and make you remember that the world is a wonderful place.
The whole "cheek-to-cheek" is pretty good too.
Don't forget the best part of being 2 is the pokey-outtie-hair pony-tails. I love them so much.    I was able to be in hair-duty a couple of times when the Taylor Tots were here, it was good.
This brings me to my #1 rant. . . . . the fact that grandkids live far away.  I know everyone in my family is tired of me gripping about it. But, it doesn't change the fact that it goes against all the good and rightful laws of the universe. . . . grandkids should be close to those who love them most.  (Feel free to add your two-cents worth Bev)  I'm so pathetic, I didn't even get my camera out during their 8-day visit until about an hour before they left.  I thought to myself: "Self,  you call yourself a blogger. . . . you're pathetic."
*sigh*
I will do better.

THE WEASEL'S B-DAY
My youngest brother is affectionately called "The weasel" that is because our father, after coming home from the hospital when he was born, said that's what he looked like. . . . and it stuck. Happy Birthday Little Brother!

Big Guy & Little Miss

This is Mr. Mr. with his newest Granddaughter, Miss Sophie. She's so cute and he sure loves her!
SINCE SLICED BREAD . . . . .

I gotta say. . . . On-line shopping is the best thing since sliced bread. I went to Macy's yesterday, just to make sure I haven't gotten rusty at browsing the aisles looking for the fabulous. But the "on-line" has so many positives. The best is. . . . .a package left at the front door. Nothing like pulling into the driveway after a grueling day in the "salt mines" and finding a package. It brightens my mood, and puts a lilt in my step (I actually run to the front door). I love the heft of the package. I love that I get to go in and open it up. . . .like it's mine, even though it will most likely be for someone else. I love that I'm smiling as I open it. Ah. . . . . UPS Guy is my new favorite "crush" That's what the brown does for me.
