Tangerine Blossom Love

I’m not sure I’ve mentioned (only about 67 times) how much I love having a little something in bloom.  I love having a flower hanging off  a plant.  They dangle and look rather cheerful, and they fragrance the air, and they make me so happy.  Last spring I purchased a citrus tree, a tangerine tree to be exact.  The Master Gardner told me it would be 2-3 years before it would bear fruit.  I took her home, and planted her in a large-ish pot, one that I thought would be good for 4-5 years.  Her loveliness graced my deck all summer, I planted coleus and geraniums in the pot with her, she and they thrived.   Along came fall, and the nip in the weather.  I took her in and found a sunny west window, a place that she would be able to see the weak winter sunshine, and perhaps, while not thrive, survive our wicked winter.  I shut the heat vent so as not to dry her out too much.  I left a straggly geranium and a sickly looking coleus in the pot to keep her company on the long winter nights.  We made it through our winter and into February….I spied small whitish balls all along her branches.  They very quickly opened and I have the smell of tangerine blossoms throughout the house……I can smell them as I walk down the hall toward the bedroom she has been put in.  I called the Master Gardner to ask how to pollinate this tree, and he explained that I could take a cotton swab and go inside the flowers and twist and go from flower to flower to pollinate.  I did.  Now I wait.  What will come of all those blossoms?

Sweet Cheeks

I love it when the bow and flower are bigger than their head.....
Great things come in small packages.
Hummmm........................let me see...
There are (5) things that I need to get off my chest.............
but right now I'm a wee bit tired.
1- I love to eat
2- I love to sleep
3- I love to have a giant poo explosion in my pants
4- Repeat the first 3
5- hummmmmI forget
We went to Hannah's class and took treats for her birthday.
She was so afraid that her mom would forget.
Megan called her teacher and it was a huge surprise.
She Loved Loved Loved it.
Krispy Kreme's for everyone.
Sometimes I wasn't the fun Mimaw......
3 weeks and this little gal was
giving me the "stink eye"
I felt like a failure........the Type A personality of Little Meg got her
vacuuming herself......my thrice weekly wasn't enough....
daily....for her
Snow on a couple of mornings....I can get this at home.
Last Day

We go to Taco Bueno......it's my "last day" thing.....

Silliness................

Jazz Hands..............
Oh this little man......
how I love him and will miss his little oddities...
Baby J.......so sad that she lives so far away.  She will be sitting up the next time I see her.  I've said it once and maybe twice....or many times....it's just no right that grandbabies live farther than you can drive in an afternoon........I shout "foul"

Ready or Not...here She Comes.......
Well........here she is all hooked up to the drip
Waiting for the "pit-drip" to kick in.
This girl doesn't go into labor.......so she does it the hard way.
Hard in the way the labor comes.....fast and hard!!!
Since, Megan and Jeff decided not to find out what they were having.........
Miss Josephine Blair was a surprise...........
And a perfectly beautiful one at that.......
Oh, my heart.........I'm in love!!
That face.....that lip......that Daddy!!!
Those cheeks.......that little smooshed nose.....the curly hairs.....
Oh....the sweet sound of those cries.......
My heart is so full and happy.
Megan is checking this beauty out.......
Man, she looks like she wants to eat............
Perfection.
That Milo is a baby-lovin' little guy.....Viv is squeezed out
of the action ....she's on tippy toes trying to get a peek.
She is wearing her "Big Sister" shirt.....
so proud!
Man those cheeks are so round and kissable.  Here I go again......
Love....Love....Love.
Another life-long love affair with this darling little girl.
I cannot wait to see what joy and happiness
she will leave in her path.
Babies are perfect little bundles of love and dreams from Heaven.
They come, they conquer......
They squeeze into your heart and take hold and you cannot
shake free.......but who would want to.
I have nine little corners in my heart that each of my grandchildren have taken up residency.  It's a love that is different from any other you have.  It is big and bold and un-selfish.  It is your do-over in life.  They will not have the same experience as their parents.  Hopefully, their view of you will be the patient, kind and nice person you only showed your own children part of the time.  Grandbabies are just the best thing that God has ever breathed breath into.  This will be the last of the Taylor Tots (or so I am told) The McPhie well is dry and the Lloyd's are finished.........that just leaves one daughter to give me more of these wonderful little people..........*sigh*

Ready or Not.....here I come
And an assortment of other things.....
Packing for (3) weeks in Oklahoma............
What you cannot see is large bottles (32 oz) shampoo
leave-in conditioner, Utah Truffle chocolate bars....
I couldn't get the (2) laptops I was taking in my suitcase without being over the 50 lb limit.
When I got to the aiport, I was still (4) pounds over.......the sky cap was great
he let me get out a couple of things, and let it go at 52 pounds...........ahhhh.
Rudy's was our stop before getting to Pioneer Circle.....
The BBQ in OKC is AMAZING...............it's worth the
price of the plane ticket.
This loaded potato has brisket (dry-- add your own sauce )
and cheese and sour cream and it's amazing.......
Megan and I shared, and still took half of it home.
We topped it with "sissy sauce" which is fantastic.
Sometimes I sit at my desk and dream about this big 'ole spud!!
This little kitchen helper was my "right hand gal"
Here she is stiring sloppy joe mix for me....
She is such a sweet little pooper!!
This was the temp one day I was there.......
OKC weather is bi-polar......
It can have a 50 degree difference from one day to the next.
I'm sure I will have everything OKC has to throw at me as far as
weather is concerned.....except a tornado.........that would
be in the Spring....and I will be gone.
