A break from Disneyland....BEACH


We broke up the trip with a trip to Newport Beach
It was a bit chilly, but that didn't stop the kids from having
a blast.  In fact, when asked..........some preferred the beach
to Disneyland......sun, sand, water, waves, sunglasses, smiles..............

kind of seaweed for hair and shells for teeth.....

Disney Vacation continued......

Dinner @ Goofy's Kitchen

  We had dinner at Goofy's Kitchen.  Have I ever
stated that I LOVE Minnie Mouse? I have a pair of big ole'
white 4-finger Minnie hands/gloves a lovely pair of
ears, and one of these days I'm going to make me a
super-duper polka-dot dress with a cool white apron.
One of my favorite watches is a "Miss Fabulous Minnie watch.
The kids loved this dinner, and amazingly the food was pretty good. There
were some strawberries that were the size of a tennis ball........well
not quite that big but big, and some yummy desserts.  We topped it off
with a visit from Cinderella's Fairy GodMother.......that would
be a sweet job for a 50+ pleasingly plump lady......I think I
will apply.

There were plenty of smiles

and laughs, and an all-around

love-fest for each other.

These sweet girls, young and

less young (don't want to refer to them as old)

have a place, a niche as some might call it,

in my heart.  I love each of them for the gifts of

love, and laughter, and fun they added to

our family trip.  I feel like we

have a family, while not perfect, they

are perfect for our family.  They all add something

that is good, and needed in our family.

Family Vacation Albums. . . . . .

Well, here I am dear readers (both of you) subjecting you to the wonderful opportunity of perusing family vacation photos!! The above picture should be a big tip off of where we have been for the last week.  The fun and fabulous (not the mention the Happiest Place on Earth) Disneyland.

I did rent a 15-passenger van and we spent a day at Newport Beach.  My dream vacation would be:

A Sandy Beach

A lounge chaise

A cooler of Soda

A bag of salty chips

A box of good carmels

A good book

A Cabana Boy to rub suntan lotion on me!

Just me, the waves, and an occasional nap. If I could do this for a week. . . maybe two.

Ahhhhhhh
