I will count it as exercise!!
I'm looking forward to cooling off. This "Hot Flash Gal" is tired of sweating like a butcher. Rocky Mountain Power has upped my "equal pay" costs by $39 a month because my AC has been running nonstop since about April. I'm here at work and everyone is walking around in sweaters and complaining of the cold, I have on my flip-flops, a summer top and Capri's. I'm so over being a 50+ lady!!! Bring on the snow, hail, sleet, rain, wind, whatever it takes.

Perfect September

Boyd took the lid off his car on Saturday to go for a little "spin"


We hopped in and headed up the

More of Nature's beauty.
This is my most favorite time of year.
Cool nights for great sleeping.
Warm afternoons, for laying on the couch with
the blinds open and reading a good book.
Great local produce at the grocery.
Knowing a trip to St. George is in my future to get pomegranates.
We stopped at Spin City Cafe in Heber city. It had a wonderfully
diverse menu. Boyd had a 1/2 lb. burger with onion rings. I had
a BBQ Chicken Sandwich with onion rings. They had a BBQ Spaghetti
that someone next to us ordered, I was jealous because I was contemplating
ordering it. We had a dessert. . . . . . warm brownie, topped with
Creme Brulee gelato, whipped cream and 3 toppings, chocolate,
carmel & white chocolate. It was de-Lish. I'd definitely go back.

I live is such a beautiful place.
It's has the best weather.
Four distinct season's and I love them all.
So, people out there living in a less than
attractive climate. . . . . . you know who you are,
"YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE THERE!"

STOP. . . . IN THE NAME OF

The ever-lovely Bev invited Boyd and I to share an evening of fun and dancing, and oh, did I mention Diana Ross was there!!!


We were stage-side when Brad snapped this lovely pic. We were up trying to get Miss Di to "reach out and touch somebodies hand" that would be our hand. No luck.
Here is what I refer to as "The Reach"

Another angle, yes, that is Brad's hand, he was also feeling the evening and wanting to be touched by the Diva.


It was so much fun. We laughed and danced and sang, and Norm was there and Boyd was not so happy, but he did accompany me, bless his heart!! What I didn't know was that there is a huge following of "alternative" lifestyle peeps, it made for a fun crowd.


Thanks to B & B for taking me and the old man. It was

fabity-fab-fab-fabulous!!


I'm going to go on-line to see if I can find a similar dress to any of the

one's she wore, they were all sparklie and shimmery and so pretty.

I'm thinking I could be the "winner winner chicken dinner" at a Christmas Party with one of those dresses :-)

Love gets better. . . . the 8th time around!!

This is my 8th grandchild. Little Miss Sophrona (Sophie) Ellen Lloyd. She was dragged into this world on September 7, 2011 at about 11:07 pm. She was not being co-operative during the birthing work, push 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 *breath* push 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 *breath* push 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 *sigh* after about an hour of that the Dr. rolled her Mama to the OR and delivered her c-section!!! The little turd!


So, like I've send in previous posts, a new life-long love affair has begun. . . . . so glad for the opportunity to have a "do-over" with our grandkids. We start with a clean slate and lots more patience than we had with our children. She is so beautiful, sweet and calming. Just to sit and hold an infant brings down the blood pressure, and makes you have a feeling that all is right with the universe. That this wonderful little gift from God will make her mark in the world and that I will live on through my children and grandchildren and then great-grandchildren. It sort of freaks me out a bit! Her brothers love her to bits, she will have to be a tough little gal or she'll never make it living with those animals!! (I say that with all the love in my heart. . . . but they are little boys) So here's to Sophie, and all the beauty that she has. I hope she can bring as much joy to their home as her Dad brought to mine.

SEPTEMBER MORN


On a September morning in 1912, French painter Paul Chabas finished the painting he had been working on for three consecutive summers. Thus completed, it was aptly titled "Matinee de Septembre" (September Morn). As was typical of his style, the painting was of young maiden posed nude in a natural setting. This time the icy morning waters of Lake Annecy in Upper Savoy formed the natural setting and the maiden was a local peasant girl.


I love this painting and I love September Mornings, these days are numbered, and I want to always remember them.......ah..........September
